But let's search even deeper.

One con of going to school in South Carolina is that we are so gosh darn nice. To talk about sex or drugs is heresy. to question the Bible or the church is foolish. and the "lost" on our campus...they're untouchables that absolutely require compassion without action and belittling.

Sometimes I get frustrated with this mentality within the church. Instead of asking the whys and hows, we adapt the gospel to what we like and desire to hear. Instead of taking the Word for what it is, we embellish it and redeem our lack of knowledge by using verbiose "churchy" diction to defend ourselves. We nod and "amen" to the things we agree on, but fail to regard and be challenged by the things that hurt to hear. When skeptics ask questions, we simply say that God is too big for questions, or stubbornly disregard it.

I pray that this generation would be SHAKEN by the truth. God calls us to be fearful of Him, to humble ourselves before the Soverign King, to love the unloveables...
I want to be, dare i say it...uncomfortable.
